High-profile Italian launch for Mente in collaboration with Red Cross Italy

Mente was officially launched in Italy on June 12, 2015 by the Italian Red Cross (CRI) - Rome and Consorzio Promosalute, Mente distributors for Italy. The launch took the form of a convention for more than 100 participants from the medical, educational and political spheres. Entitled "Persone Autistiche – Una vita tra la gente" (People with Autism – A life among others) to focus on the CRI’s goals to promote inclusion, the event was held at the CRI Central Committee offices in Rome, Italy.

Dott. Flavio Ronzi, President of the CRI Rome Provincial Committee, inaugurated the event by presenting the organization’s vision to collaborate with third parties that provide healthcare products and services that positively impact the lives of those affected by serious or disabling medical conditions. "We’re here to improve the health and quality of life of those affected by serious conditions," he explained. "We have to and we want to have an increasingly strong and effective role in health management and in the social protection of all citizens, a role that is sanctioned and guided by our organization’s principles."

Chaired by Prof. Bruno Beomonte Zobel, who heads the radiology division of the Policlinico Universitario Campus Bio-Medico, the event covered various aspects of autism and its incidence and treatment in Italy through speakers such as Dott. Prof. Carlo Hanau, a lecturer at UNIMORE who forms part of the Scientific Committee of ASS.NE NAZ.LE GENITORI SOGGETTI AUTISTICI (ANGSA); Prof. Paolo Cavallari, Professor of Human Physiology at the Universita degli Studi di Milano; Dott.ssa Teresa Rongai, a Paediatrician representing the Societa Italiana Medici Pediatri; and Prof. Prof. Sergio Corbi, Director of the Orthodontics Division of the San Camillo Hospital in Rome.

Dr Adrian Attard Trevisan, Founder and CEO of AAT Research, and Angelica Micallef Trigona, Chief Marketing and Operations Officer at AAT Research, each gave presentations to introduce Mente and the science behind it, and took questions from the floor about its benefits, its use and its certifications and clinical trial results to date.
