Miriam Langhoff - That's how she rolls

People should move towards each other so they can learn from this – regardless if they have a disability or not. Miriam Langhoff wishes for this and she could very well help to accomplish it: Her heart beats for acting. How could she better convey messages, if not this way? At REHACARE.com she talks about the things that matter to her also off-stage.

When did you last laugh heartily and what about?

Miriam Langhoff: I laugh a lot and enjoy it, almost daily!

What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?

Miriam Langhoff: Basically, I always try to do what I like to, and make little dreams and goals come true. But like everybody else, I still have unfulfilled dreams, too. I still want to fly in a sailplane and I want to visit Ireland. And I would also like to be on-stage in a larger theater once.

Which person has influenced you most?

Miriam Langhoff: There is basically no specific person who has influenced me. Anyone who goes through life with open and honest eyes impresses me. People who have influenced me strongly, if any, are my parents, especially my mother. She did the most for me to become an open-minded, self-confident and curious (regarding life) person today. My parents support me until today in everything I do!

You have the chance to become the German Federal Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?

Miriam Langhoff: I would not leave the office of our Chancellor until after she has signed the German Federal Participation Law.

Your life is made into a film: Who would represent you?

Miriam Langhoff: If I am not playing myself, I would most likely give the role to a German actress: Heike Makatsch, Christiane Höbriger, Iris Berben, or Hannelore Elsner. All four of them are great character actresses.

I would like to be ...

Miriam Langhoff: Oh, actually I like to be me… that's alright.

Which questions would you like answered the most?

Miriam Langhoff: I think it is alright when people do not always know the answer to all the questions - even when they like to think differently. That way, life will always be exciting and mysterious.

What I finally want to say...

Miriam Langhoff: Dear everyone, with or without disability: Keep going and never lose sight of your goals and dreams. Fight for your beliefs and in doing so let everyone live his own life.
