To Angelika Harnisch the REHACARE is like a holiday. She visits every year and enjoys the diversity of the trade fair. “I find everything I’m looking for here and can talk to people who know the industry. As a wheelchair user you simply feel more normal at the REHACARE.

Charlotte Karlinder is patroness of the anderStark- project InkluWAS and visits Anastasia Umrik at her stand (Hall 07/A12). “Unfortunately, I’ve never been at the REHACARE before. But as patroness of such an amazing project I finally managed to come this year. I am very busy because of my shootings but I managed to schedule a little free time so I can look around.”

Charlotte Karlinder is patroness of the anderStark- project InkluWAS and visits Anastasia Umrik at her stand (Hall 07/A12). “Unfortunately, I’ve never been at the REHACARE before. But as patroness of such an amazing project I finally managed to come this year. I am very busy because of my shootings but I managed to schedule a little free time so I can look around.”

It is Fabio Camiminio’s and Sebastian and Nina Glombik’s first time at the REHACARE. The geriatrics trainee nurses from Solingen bring themselves up to date at the trade fair. “We are searching specifically for information regarding existential experiences of life (AEDLs).”

I preferably come when there are few people and enquire about innovations which are professionally and personally interesting for me.”

Marie Luise and Bertold B. are from Düsseldorf. The foldable bench behind Marie Luise‘s wheelchair is self-constructed and does not weigh down the wheelchair at all. Marie Luise would like to gather information in self-help groups and meet acquaintances. Bertold is specifically looking for a ramp, which he can transport on his wife’s wheelchair. “We would just like to be more mobile.”

It impresses me as to how many different illnesses the stand gives information on.“ He has a private interest in the sport offers: “It is important that children and teens with handicaps are also encouraged to do sport.“

Anette Holm, chief executive of ZIBO, came all the way from Denkmark to Düsseldorf. Her company sells auxiliary means for people with physical and mental impairment: “At my first REHACARE I am looking for innovations in the field of rehabilitation and meeting producers and retailers.”

Discus thrower Sebastian Dietz won several gold medals at the Paralympics. He wants to represent his sport and show that sports for people with impairment are high performance sports too. “The REHACARE is well organized like always. It is a great platform to reach people with impairment and to give them courage to do sports. They will see that doing sports is possible and that they don’t have to hide themselves.”

Nigel Millen arrived from Ireland. He incorporated a new travel portal for people with impairment. “I am catching up on possible topics for my website. I just want to get into conversation with different people and socialize.”
