Terms for visually impaired passengers:

  • Air Europa: Blind persons can travel alone if they are accompanied by a guide dog which remains with them in the cabin. Said dog must travel with a muzzle and record of all vaccinations.

  • British Airways: If you need to be guided, they provide a meet and assist service. Braille cards are also available on some flights. Certified Assistance Dogs travel for free in the aircraft cabin within the UK. Contact British Airways to confirm that this is an approved route: on other routes the dogs are carried in the aircraft hold.

  • Continental Airlines: Service animals, canines and monkeys trained to assist customers with handicaps should sit on the floor at the feet of the passenger. No fee or baggage restriction is imposed. But you have to check the quarantine laws.

  • KLM: If the guide animal does not require an extra seat, it can travel in the cabin free of charge.
