Cevahir Männel: To solve new problems and to fulfill my dreams.

REHACARE.de: What is your favorite place and why?
Cevahir Männel: The woods/the park! I love the smell and calmness of nature.

REHACARE.de: Who or what impresses you?
Cevahir Männel: People who have suffered a terrible fate and still have not lost their courage and hope for happiness.

REHACARE.de: What is your most valuable possession?
Cevahir Männel: My happy life and of course my marriage.

REHACARE.de: What are you fed up with?
Cevahir Männel: With reservations between healthy and disabled people.

REHACARE.de: What makes you relax the most?
Cevahir Männel: Lying on my bed and listening to music.

REHACARE.de: What makes you happy?
Cevahir Männel: My marriage, work and my leader dog for the blind.

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Cevahir Männel: The bound calendars of the past two years.

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt blown away by something?
Cevahir Männel: On Valentine’s Day. There were home-made chocolate-covered puff pastry hearts on the breakfast table.

REHACARE.de: What questions would you like to know the answer to?
Cevahir Männel: When will disabled people be fully accepted by society?

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt like hiding from something?
Cevahir Männel: Some time ago when I went shopping at a discount store and practically had my nose on the floor so I could see the price tag. At the check-out they implied that I stole something. I had to completely empty out my backpack and everybody stared. In the end, I didn’t even get an apology!

REHACARE.de: What makes a person rich?
Cevahir Männel: Experiences.

REHACARE.de: What is your philosophy of life?
Cevahir Männel: Chin up! Don’t think about it, just do it!
