Up- and Downhill with Handbike and Dog
The 40-year old Alexander Epp from South Germany does not really like comfortable hotel rooms. Several times a year he packs his baggage and disappears with hand bike and his favourite travel companion, a dog, into the mountains – without help and without a tent. REHACARE.de talked to him about his intentions to do so.

Sports for Parkinson's Patients
Without feeling sad Udo Schröers points to the several cups and pictures that he won during his active soccer carrer and mentions his successes and activities. Soccer was his passion as an active player, a licenced referee and also as a board member of the soccer club SV Hohenheide. He led an ordinary life until fate showed him the red card: Parkinson - the diagnosis his doctors gave him.

They are among the world's fastest growing sports events. More than 3,000 deaf athletes and officials from 75 nations participated in the 20th Summer Games in Melbourne, Australia, in January, 2005. Approximately 300 athletes from 20 nations are expected to qualify for the 16th Winter Deaflympics to be hosted by Salt Lake City, Utah, in the United States in 2007.
