Coalition for Disabled Musicians
Established in 1986, the Coalition for Disabled Musicians, Inc. (CDM) is a voluntary, non-profit organization in New York dedicated to enabling physically disabled musicians to pursue their musical dreams. CDM currently has performing groups available for indoor and outdoor shows, and offers musician biographies, sound samples and merchandise on their website.

The organisation has an original and innovative way of working by using contemporary music, theatre and club culture. Touring performances, clubs, training, residencies and an extensive programme of workshops, provide a ladder of opportunity for people with learning disabilities to realise their talents and personal potential.

The Drake Music Project in the UK believes everyone should have the opportunity to make music. Using specialist and adapted music technology, Drake enables disabled children and adults who are unable to play conventional musical instruments to compose and perform their own music.

Evelyn Glennie
Evelyn Glennie
Highly acclaimed and gifted percussionist, profoundly deaf since the age of twelve. She secured her place in music history, as she was the first solo classical percussionist, received a Grammy and played with most of the world's top orchestras and conductors. She has so far published 16 solo recordings and has already received a designation as an Officer of the British Empire.
