In the past postmen needed days sometimes even weeks to deliver letters and packages. Today, information can be forwarded within a few seconds and clicks. Thanks to the World Wide Web - the Internet.

As positive as the worldwide linked communication portal can be, disabled people are often confronted with limits. For them web accessibility is the solution. And this is the Topic of the Month December on REHACARE.de.

Winds, rain showers and snow. In the last months the weather went crazy in Germany. As strong as this limited the lives of people, virtual barriers sometimes limit handicapped people: Before you can enter your e-mail account plenty of buttons need to be clicked.

The trend to create websites in a way that it is accessible for everybody serves as a quality sign for more and more providers. This has been certified by two German institutions called Digital Opportunities (Digitale Chancen) and Campaign Human Being (Aktion Mensch).
