Test Ski Skills for Charity
Plan the next snow adventure
Skiers and snowboarders can sign up for one of Scope's daredevil adventures and make a difference to the lives of many.
For those who search the ultimate adrenaline rush: why not head across the Atlantic to Colorado on 26 January and take a master class in endurance? Six resorts, six days and 150,000 vertical feet! Skiing and boarding across Vail, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Breckenridge, Winter Park and Keystone. Scope, the leading national disability charity, promises that this will be one snow flurry you will never forget.
Nick Hemmings, a past participant said: "If you love skiing, the Colorado Challenge is for you. The sense of achievement is like nothing else you'll ever experience.”
It you want to stay closer to home but reckon you can you ski or board 24 peaks in 48 hours, why not join the White Peaks Ski and Board Challenge between 17 and 20 March 2007? The guides will push you to your limits to cover 130km of top-class piste in the heart of Austria - the equivalent of skiing down Everest twice.
Lucy Dawes, Senior Events Fundraiser at Scope, commented: "2007 will be the ninth year of the White Peaks Ski and Board Challenge which over 850 people have taken part in and raised a phenomenal £1.5 million. We are looking to attract 150 skiers and boarders in 2007 and raise over £250,000 for the UK's largest charity ski and board challenge.”
Minimum sponsorship is required for both events but full advice and support are provided, as are flights, accommodation, meals, qualified guides, ski/board hire and lift passes.
