Supported by Theresa May MP, Arthritis Care and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) have launched Women's Insight into RA, a photographic book featuring ten powerful stories about women living with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Jo O'Boyle, director of marketing and fundraising at Arthritis Care, explained the significance of the women profiled in the book: "Three quarters of all RA cases occur in women, so it is vital we raise awareness of the devastating impact this condition can have, regardless of age. This initiative will help to highlight the importance of early diagnosis and encourage people with arthritis to remain proactive and confident about seeking support, accessing services and making their voices heard."

The book launch marked the start of a new initiative calling on the Government to improve care and management of RA for people in the UK by adopting five key recommendations. Sponsored by Abbott, the campaign aims to highlight the challenges in diagnosing and managing RA.
