Home sweet home. Especially old people would like to stay in their house as long as possible in order to lead a self determined life. But often due to care they need to leave their home.

But in Germany there sometimes exists an alternative to nonpersonal and sterile nursing homes, for example a kind of flat share - even when suffering from dementia. These and other topics around care can be read in November's Topic of the Month.

Home sweet home: Old people would like to remain in their own flat as long as possible, even if they need care. Relatives often have to care for them on their own and get to their limits. At REHACARE Congress 2006 speakers dealt with this subject.
