Nowadays, people with Down syndrome can also live a long life – thanks to modern medicine. However, there is still a lot to do concerning the needs of adult and especially old affected people in Germany. This and more is shown in the Topic of the Month January: Down syndrome
In Germany there hardly are any physicians who are experienced in special problems of older people with Down syndrome. The consequence: a lack of health care.
