The most beautiful time of the year is the holiday season. Most of the people in Germany travel at least once a year. However, people with handicaps still face a lot of barriers making travelling difficult. But the number of barrier-free accommodations is rising constantly and more and more organisations offer handicapped people assistance in planning their travels. Even for people in need of care, a holiday is no longer impossible.Especially those people, who depend on continuous care due to illness or disability, need a change of scene from time to time. New impressions, a good climate, letting the mind wander - this can also have a positive effect on therapy. Especially for the caring relatives it should be a great relief to have more time for themselves for a few weeks in the year. They can enjoy the beautiful aspects of a journey together, while the daily necessary care is provided by professional nurses. This means sleeping longer, no physical stress and simply more time for oneself.
