REHACARE.de: What is your favorite place and why?
Maike Schnittger: The public swimming pool Bünde – This is where I feel comfortable.

REHACARE.de: What is your most valuable possession?
Schnittger: A photo album – Memories persist this way.

REHACARE.de: What are you fed up with?
Schnittger: I am fed up with daily stress.

REHACARE.de: What makes you relax the most?
Schnittger: When I am going for a jog while listening to music.

REHACARE.de: What makes you happy?
Schnittger: I am happy when my friends feel fine and when I am in a room full of people I like.

REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Schnittger: Bad memories that belong to the past.

Schnittger: Friends, love, fun.

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt blown away by something?
Schnittger: That was in Rio de Janeiro in 2009 at the World Cup final 100 metres free style. I got the third place. I underestimated myself.

REHACARE.de: What questions would you like to know the answer to?
Schnittger: Why do some people suffer?

REHACARE.de: When was the last time you felt like hiding from something?
Schnittger: At the World Cup in Eindhoven. I feared to fail and was afraid of the opponents.

REHACARE.de: What makes a person rich?
Schnittger: Fun in life.

REHACARE.de: What is your philosophy of life?
Schnittger: Don’t worry, be happy!
