Susanne Hoffmann is fed up about the legal injustice over disabilities. But she stands her ground and fights like a lioness - not only when concerning her daughter. REHACARE.de talked to the strong woman about the wondrous “Oelsehoelse” and the building of social soup kitchens.
REHACARE.de: When did you last laugh heartily and what about?
Susanne Hoffmann: My daughter called a squirrel "Oelsehoelse" due to her pronounciation!
REHACARE.de: What is your favourite place? And why?
Susanne Hoffmann: In the countryside, on the water, relaxing and breathing out!
REHACARE.de: The last meal in my life would be…
Susanne Hoffmann: Potato cake with bacon and pork or tea sausage with fresh applesauce
REHACARE.de: Which person has influenced you most?
Susanne Hoffmann: My grandpa Mick - he taught me a lot about nature in the garden and its occupants along until I was five years old, and the joy of music and folklore; also growing up with a deaf boy; my children, the Indians and Helen Keller!
REHACARE.de: Is there something you should throw away, but won’t?
Susanne Hoffmann: Yes. The symbol of my oath before the Almighty - the virtues.
REHACARE.de: If you were to win one million in the lottery, what would you do with the money?
Susanne Hoffmann: Long-term support for social institutions, inclusion and equality; build soup kitchens, farm for integrative purposes and to show children where we come from.
REHACARE.de: Which moment of your life would you like to relive?
Susanne Hoffmann: When my daughter began to walk. Action equals reaction!

Susanne Hoffmann: With my back in warm sand beside the sea or a lake house.
REHACARE.de: What are you fed up about?
Susanne Hoffmann: That there is no legal protection for children with disabilities. There is a lack of social courage; Being misunderstood though using sign language, since only few people know it.
REHACARE.de: How can you relax the best?
Susanne Hoffmann: Silence, clear air, feet in water, trees.

Susanne Hoffmann: Meet my target (above answers) and “His tasks for me”! To be satisfied, happy and healthy with all my loved ones – to enjoy!
