An accident, a stroke or cancer – the main characters of our Topic of the Month December have gone through a lot. However, with fighting spirit and people who support and love them they are even able to defy hopeless diagnoses. Read more in: The Day that Changed my Life.
The glass is half-full says the optimist. Such a person is Bernd Deifuß from Thuringia, Germany. Within one year he lost his mobility and his stomach. However, this does not seem to be a reason for him to give up.
- Woken up in a New Life
An accident caused heaviest head injuries – and the doctors said there would be no survival chance for Mrs. H. from Germany. However, her daughter never gave up the fight for her mother. Today, one and a half years later she again lives in her own home. She can speak again, walk, eat and take part in life. In her report the daughter makes clear – the magic word tells to fight.
