Whether with just one leg or one arm, paralysed, blind or hard of hearing – that’s quite immaterial at the Paralympic Games. What matters is the performance of the athletes. Rowing, cycling and wheelchair basketball – everyone who is sports-mad will find something interesting when the Paralympic Summer Games will be opened on 29th of August in London. REHACARE.de has summarised the most important information concerning the Paralympics.

Wheelchair basketball has always been his cup of tea. Even as a pedestrian Dirk Passiwan liked doing this fast sport. Since he has been diagnosed with arthritis he supports the German national team with his effort – like four years ago in Beijing he also this time takes part in the Paralympic Games in London.
