EU Commissioner Reding Meets IPC President

A possible co-operation and collaboration with regards to the European Year of Education Through Sport (EYES 2004) was discussed after a presentation on this topic. Information was also exchanged about the upcoming ATHENS 2004 Paralympic Games, IPC educational activities and the presence of sport in the new EU Constitution. It was a first, important step towards the establishment of a permanent relationship.

After the meeting with Ms. Reding, the IPC delegation visited the EU-Office of German Sports in Brussels. This informal reunion offered a good opportunity for both sides to exchange information about subjects of common interest.
