Being employed means to be an integral part of society and to share common experience. Unfortunately many disabled people face severe problems, when they try to find a job: Employers are often trapped in prejudices due to a lack of information and workplaces are often not properly equipped.

 
 

Seven out of 10 employers say they know nothing about a £50 million Government financial support scheme, Access to Work (ATW), that assists employers to take on and retain disabled employees.

This October, the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA) is being strengthened so that all employers have to comply.
