TBoxApps was founded in 2010 by speech and language therapist Rebecca Bright and telecoms expert Swapnil Gadgil. TBoxApps is a business that specialises in communication and therapy apps for people of all ages and abilities. The apps are compatible with iDevices including iPod touch, iPad and iPhones.

We seek to apply the latest innovations in app development to meet the needs of those who have communication difficulties due to a range of disabilities arising from cerebral palsy, motor neurone disease, autism, Brain Injuries and other neurological and developmental disorders. It is important to us that our devices are affordable, easy to use and high quality. Our aim is to supply the best means of communication possible to our customers to enable them to express themselves with their family, friends and colleagues in a whole range of environments!

Our communication apps, Predictable and Scene & Heard have already made a huge impact on the AAC industry all over the world. Predictable is an exciting text-to-speech application for the iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch. The app meets the needs of a wide range of AAC users, including those with MND / ALS, Cerebral Palsy and people with communication difficulties after a stroke or head injury. Predictable provides every method of expression imaginable for our customers. It provides people who cannot speak with an easy to use app and a selection of voices.

Communication app Scene & Heard is a multimedia scene communication tool from TBoxApps. It has been designed to give practitioners, teachers, parents and carers a quick and easy way to create scenes full of multimedia content, such as audio clips and video clips, recorded directly into the app with the iDevice. Based on the visual scene display approach to augmentative communication, the application can be used to support communication for people with developing language skills and those who benefit from context.
