There is too little accessible living space. In order to ensure in the future that the implementation of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities can also be fulfilled, a DIN standard for accessible building would be required. However, there is still no such guideline.

Dr. Michael Spörke is a German political scientist, author, and disability politician. He teaches "Disability Policy" at the Humboldt University of Berlin and the University of Kassel. He also publishes essays and book chapters.
