What makes you laugh?
Beate Kerber: Besides Heinz Ehrhardt (German comedian, musician, composer, entertainer, cabaret artist, actor and poet; editor's note) I laugh about some series and political satires. Just as funny situations in everday life.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Beate Kerber: Start the Way of St James here in Germany and finish it in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Also I wanna do the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). I already started the Way of St James, unfortunately I had to interrupt it because of health problems. But I will try that again! For the PCT I am lacking money at the moment. So it would take a few more years.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Beate Kerber: On "Celebrities" it is Beppo, the street sweeper from Michael Ende's "Momo". He takes time for his task to sweep the street. The next breath, the next broom stroke. Without stress and hectic.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Beate Kerber: To ensure that people as experts can have a say in discussions for themselves and their group. In the long run, I would try to implement inclusion more and more.
