Inclusion in everyday life and work

Dear Sir or Madam,

We often report on the topic of accessibility in very different situations of life. Unfortunately, this is exactly what is missing everywhere in everyday life. But this is especially annoying when shopping, because at least the grocery shopping has to be done (almost) always in the supermarket around the corner. You can read in our Topic of the Month whether this might change soon.

Perhaps society would be more inclusive if people with disabilities were also in decision-making positions. The team of the DisAbility Talent program tries to make this possible one day. We asked them how they want to achieve that.

Have an accessible week,

Anne Hofmann

It is not only her sporting success in badminton that makes Katrin Neudolt a special athlete. It is her commitment to deaf people and her constant engagement to show that they also have a voice. Why she would still like to change her racket for a pair of skis and which top athletes are important in her life, she tells REHACARE.com.

Topic of the Month

It's often the small things: demand bells and mobile ramps, sign language operation or trained staff dealing with customers with various disabilities –all of this can ensure that the stationary retail becomes more accessible. And the demand is there. Which solutions are already being implemented can be found in the current Topic of the Month February.
