One of the most important conditions for the inclusion of people with disabilities is active participation in working life.
Once again this year, exhibitors – such as the LVR and LWL integration offices – will be presenting a wide range of support and counselling services for people with disabilities in their professional lives.
Especially young people and young adults are of great importance.
Show cooking, personal experience and consulting
The motto of the joint stand is: "A clear view of working life – everyday working life with visual limitations" and consists of two stations.
At the first station, a chef with limited vision will demonstrate at a permanently installed cooking station how to prepare tasty meals safely and skilfully with special utensils, even if you are visually impaired – with subsequent tasting.
In addition, interested visitors can have a look at the kitchen utensils specially designed for people with limited vision, such as magnifying glasses, cutting boards and knives.
At the second station, a tunnel-like self-awareness trail provides a small insight into the life of people with visual disabilities. Visitors will be supported actively by rehabilitation trainers.
The regional associations also offer individual advice all day long on a round table area. Based on the biography of the person concerned, experts give advice on topics such as
transition from school to work
protection against dismissal
accompanying aids in working life
In addition, trade fair visitors will receive numerous information materials and brochures on site.
