Behind the Scenes at the 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony

The making of the 2012 Paralympics opening ceremony and its legacy will be discussed in the latest Big Picture seminar from the University of Greenwich Business School.

Bradley Hemmings presents Behind the Scenes at the 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony on Wednesday 19 March 2014 from 5pm until 7pm at the Greenwich Campus. He was co-artistic director of the 2012 event, which grew out of his longstanding work with disabled artists, including the Mayor of London’s annual Liberty festival, combined with his active role in outdoor theatre.

Bradley is also the founder and artistic director of Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, which has grown into one of the UK’s leading outdoor arts festivals, attracting audiences of more than 100,000 each year.

A founding member of the national Without Walls street arts consortium, Bradley was recently appointed to the London Area Council of Arts Council England.

Big Picture seminars are based at the Greenwich Campus and are free to attend. They have been proved to be hugely popular, and registration in advance is essential.

For those who cannot attend, all the events will be podcast, with details at the above site.; Source: University of Greenwich
