When did you last laugh heartily and what about?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: Some weeks ago about some political satire on TV.

What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: Studying medicine - but a professor of medicine advised me against it because of my hemiplegia on the left.

Which person has influenced you most?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: Robert who - as an expert for his own cause - showed me during rehabilitation how living with a brain injury is possible.

You have the chance to become the German Federal Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: I would make sure that the so called Federal Participation Law would be appropriate for people with disabilities.

Your life is made into a film: Who would represent you?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: I would represent me myself because I am the one who knows me the best way. I know my strengths and weaknesses.

I would like to be ...

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: a fulltime teacher for people who want to work in the field of the so called professional work with the disabled.

Which questions would you like answered the most?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: Why is it much more difficult for scientists with disabilties to get a fix job - in comparision to non-disabled scientists? Why is scientific work by people with disabilties only little appreciated?

Dr. Carsten Rensinghoff: When it comes to decisions in politics concerning people with disabilities exactly those affected have to be the ones who decide! There should no longer be other people who decide for them without them - to their disadvantage.
