What makes you laugh?
Fuchsia Aurelius: I want to say something deep and profound, like my friends or a certain TV show, but the truth is, my cats make me laugh. They are so pure. I have a five year old blind cat and an eight month old kitten. The situations they get themselves into always make me laugh.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Fuchsia Aurelius: I have always wanted to be in a movie as I am a trained actor. I got close once, but sadly the shoot was closed down and the film stop production. I was cast as the lead as well. I guess it has not happened yet as sadly the acting world is not inclusive. They say they are and yet I can not even get an audition due to wheelchair access issues, or the casting panel not wanting to audition disabled actors for roles. It really is a huge issue and one I hope to change in the next few years. We are all fighting now in the disabled community and we will not give in.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Fuchsia Aurelius: I would have to say Dr Janina Ramirez, she has dyslexia and yet is the top of her profession. Her passion and enthusiasm speaks volumes. She is also a great presenter for the BBC. She lit a fire in me to go for what I wanted and now I am. She has also taught me how to love again due to the people who are around her. They are a very supportive bunch of history geeks.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Fuchsia Aurelius: To make all buildings completely accessible!!!!
