Just because a disease can make life more difficult, it doesn't mean it's impossible – laughing, for example. Julia Lüttmann has internalised that. She would like to be healthy, but she still has not lost her laughter. What exactely makes her laugh and who helps her when she feels like crying, she tells us at REHACARE.com.
Name: Julia Lüttmann Age: 28 City: Northrhine Westphalia, Germany Occupation: pedagogical educating power in the curative education range Impairment: Multiple Sclerosis
Julia Lüttmann: Situation comedy. The thing itself is funny: No one understands what it's about, but two (or more) in the room laugh each other off.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Julia Lüttmann: I always wanted to eat vegan and/or without industrial sugar for at least a few months. I'd like to know if it makes me feel better, but I'm just too lazy for that.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Julia Lüttmann: I'll have to give you two answers: My mother and my husband.
My mother, because through her I have so much understanding for people in other situations. And my husband, because he shows me every day anew that you don't have to look at everything from a dramatic-emotional point of view. That brings me down if I can't do it myself.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Julia Lüttmann: Access to the first labour market also for people in WfbM (workshop for disabled people). This would mean a huge restructuring, but must be feasible. As it is now, people remain divided into two classes (disabled and not disabled).
What is especially near and dear to you?
Julia Lüttmann: My family and inclusion. It should be one of the heart pieces of our society.
I would like to be...
Julia Lüttmann: ... healthy.
Which question would you like answered the most?
Julia Lüttmann: Well, what was first? The chicken or the egg? :-)
What else I wanted to say...
Julia Lüttmann: Not everything is as it seems at first glance. Sometimes it's worth taking a look behind the scenes (or the façade).
