What makes you laugh?
Laura Gehlhaar: My boyfriend. Every single day. Especially when he imitates me getting from my wheelchair to the loo.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Laura Gehlhaar: I'd like to go on a Southern tour of the United States by car. My boyfriend can drive me. So far, however, this project has been stuck in the following statement: "Maybe next year."
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Laura Gehlhaar: I'm influenced by different people every day. Positive as well as negative. I am very sensitive to my environment and the people in it. Just a little detail, a word, a pair of trousers that someone is wearing that inspires me and "boom" my brain comes up with an idea for a text.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Laura Gehlhaar: I would create a pastoral care station for desperate teachers who feel so overwhelmed by inclusion. These stations would be somewhere on the outskirts of the city, so that the teachers are collected with vans and brought to the stations.
And I'd trade the blue carpet from my office for a wooden floor. It'll roll better then.
