Incurably happy – that is not only the name of her blog, but also her attitude towards life. Lea Beutnagel has only become even stronger by the diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. What she has – nevertheless – not dared to do so far and what is the best medicine for her in life in general, she tells us on REHACARE.com.
Name: Lea Beutnagel Age: 22 City: A village near Hildesheim, Germany Occupation: Student of German Studies and General Linguistics Impairment: Multiple Sclerosis (since May 2019)
Lea Beutnagel: My boyfriend, when he is fooling around and talking rubbish. I could double up with laughter every time.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Lea Beutnagel: Actually, I've always wanted to write a book. I have no idea, why I haven't done it so far. Maybe it was because I was afraid of rejection or failure.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Lea Beutnagel: My parents. They have always done everything for my two siblings and for me. They are the reason I became the person I am today. And for this, I am more than grateful!
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Lea Beutnagel: I would provide more education, especially for diseases and disabilities that are not directly visible to people who have no disabilities.
What is especially near and dear to you?
Lea Beutnagel: Literature and music. Both are still the best medicine.
I would like to be ...
Lea Beutnagel: … healthy.
Which question would you like to be answered the most?
Lea Beutnagel: Why is there still so much resentment, discrimination, ruthlessness and selfishness in this world? Why can't we all just stick together? It would make things so much easier.
What I still wanted to say...
Lea Beutnagel: "To be yourself is not a crime" (Billy Talent)
