What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Manfred Fischer: I've wanted to travel to Easter Island in the middle of the Pacific for a long time, but I'm afraid of the long flights and the long travel time.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Manfred Fischer: There is more than just one person: Conscientious objector Franz Jägerstätter for example and physicist Stephen Hawking, because he never gave up.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Manfred Fischer: I would advocate a revision of the Austrian Federal Disability Act and have it drafted by experts concerned.
As a hobby astronomer, Manfred Fischer always has the sky in mind. But he would also like to experience the other perspective and look at the earth from the moon station.
What is especially near and dear to you?
Manfred Fischer: Disabled people should receive the same respect and appreciation as everyone else.
