From the bottom of her heart Marina Wendt wishes that people and animals are well. For example, she would like to inform people with disabilities about the help they are entitled to. What nutrition has to do with her heart's desires, which role her husband plays in her life and how she otherwise rolls, she tells us on REHACARE.com.
Name: Marina Wendt Age: 32 City: Kiel, Germany Occupation: Educator in social psychiatry Impairment: Multiple Sclerosis since 2006
Marina Wendt: Often my husband. He loves to tell jokes all day long. Funny and cute animal videos or old talk show/TV-Total recordings and good poetry slam also regularly cause me to laugh.
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Marina Wendt: I would like to earn my money as a nutritionist. But the topic of independence, with MS breathing down my neck, is a sensitive issue for me and raises many uncertainties.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Marina Wendt: This is also my husband. During all the years of our relationship, he has always shown me that I can do anything if I want to. And if I am dissatisfied, I should change something. Without him I probably wouldn't have even started training as a nutritionist.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Marina Wendt: I worked for years in the help for the disabled and now in social psychiatry. What annoys me the most is that many people don't know what help they are entitled to and where they can get it or apply for it. I would like to see a lot more information in these areas, also from the doctors who care for the people.
What is especially near and dear to you?
Marina Wendt: I don't like injustice towards weaker people and animal welfare is also very close to my heart, which is why I have been trying to live vegan for some time now. The topic nutrition also plays a big role for me. I find that in this area also the enlightenment is missing and many people do not know which information they can believe. That's why I try to use my Instagram channel to post light nutritional knowledge and delicious, simple recipes.
I would like to be ...
Marina Wendt: on a world tour.
Which question would you like to be answered the most?
Marina Wendt: Which came first: the chicken or the egg?
What I still wanted to say...
Marina Wendt: Take care of yourself. Do things that are good for you. And above all be good to yourself! On this journey, look left and right and don't let everything sit on you.
