Built-in sensors translate the driver's head movements such as slight nodding and tilting into signals sent from the smart glass directly to the wheelchair's control system. "We are already seizing the opportunities of digitization in many ways. munevo's innovative head control system is an excellent addition to our advanced electric wheelchair portfolio. Especially as an add-on to our sophisticated, fully customizable Q700 series, munevo DRIVE will improve the usability as much as the access to all connected systems such as smartphones and robot arms – especially for users with severe mobility restrictions," states Letícia Voland Aguilar, Marketing Manager Central Europe at Sunrise Medical, delightedly on the expanded range of assistance technology options.
"Our common goals is supporting people with reduced mobility in their strive for independence, personal freedom and quality of life. Therefore, we complement each other perfectly. Sunrise Medical's well-established sales network will enable even more electric wheelchair drivers to benefit from our intuitive and convenient head control system," says munevo's Managing Director Konstantin Madaus, explaining the cooperation which is also to be expanded beyond Europe in the future.
As an integral element to a comprehensive assistive technology plan for people with significantly impaired mobility, munevo DRIVE can now be ordered directly with the Sunrise Medical Q700 wheelchair series order forms. In Germany, munevo DRIVE has its own assistive technology number (18.99.13.0001) in the new product group "Wheelchair controls by smart technology usage" and can therefore be reimbursed by insurances.
