New at REHACARE 2024: innovative community forum “Together – self-determined – inclusive”

Düsseldorf, 27 August 2024 – From 25 to 28 September REHACARE 2024 will again open its doors and reunite the entire community for participation and inclusion. Important international players in the assistive technology industry, activists and NGOs as well as people affected and their relatives will get together again to network, impart knowledge and share experiences. REHACARE is more than just a trade fair – it is a place for meeting up, for exchange and inspiration while presenting an impressive variety of innovative mobility aids, care and therapy offerings as well as sports and leisure options for people with impairments at the same time.

A special highlight is the debut of the Community Forum “Gemeinsam - selbstbestimmt – inklusiv/Together – self-determined – inclusive” held for the first time as part of the meeting point Rehacare. Visitors will have the unique opportunity to personally meet podcasters, bloggers and influencers from the community. These creative minds will share exciting experiences and stories from the world of travel, sports, fashion and family.

The Forum presents inspiring talks delivered by people who have risen to life’s challenges and overcome obstacles by pursuing innovative approaches and promoting inclusive offers.

Athlete Moritz Brückner, who is a member of the National German wheelchair rugby team and motivational coach, for example, will be speaking about resilience, psyche and motivation in his lecture “Das ganz andere Leben/The Completely Different Life”. Moritz will share his experiences and show that there is something in it for everyone. 

Content creator Svenja Gluth, known from “Svenjas.Welt/Svenja’s World”, stands up for inclusion and accessibility on social media. With her positive energy and thirst for adventure, she actively shapes her everyday life and allays the reservations of people without disabilities. Together with her husband and 2-year-old daughter she demonstrates that they are a special yet absolutely normal family. 

Travel bloggers Adina and Timo Hermann have travelled the world together since 2007 establishing the travel blog Mobilista.eu in 2014. They will report on their experiences, on travelling with a wheelchair, on breakdowns, bad luck and mishaps and on moments of a lifetime in faraway lands.
