MCC-RehaForum is hosted in Düsseldorf
On the 19th and 20th of September, REHACARE will play both host and cooperation partner to the RehaForum for the first time. The specialist event, which has been established on the market for 15 years, is organized by MCC - Management Center of Competence in Düren. It provides an arena for discussing current political, economic and technical developments in the rehabilitation and aid markets. The main topics this year include the Care Staff Strengthening Act (PpSG), smart rehabilitation - opportunities offered by and impact of digitalisation, innovative approaches for discharge management and current research findings in neurorehabilitation and chronic diseases. The event will take place at the Congress Center Düsseldorf Süd (CCD Süd).
“We are delighted by MCC’s decision to hold this renowned industry platform by experts for experts at REHACARE 2019”, said Hannes Niemann, the Director of REHACARE. “This new alliance provides both parties with added value. It increases REHACARE’s competence in a specialist segment and simultaneously enables the participants of the RehaForum to benefit from the expertise of international exhibitors, the wide range of themes on offer at the trade fair and the opportunity to make and build contacts with representatives from the world of politics, associations and the healthcare economy.”
The second round of the M-Enabling Forum kicks off
The second round of the M-Enabling Forum Europe kicks off on the 19th of September at REHACARE 2019. The objective of this conference, with its accompanying exhibition, is to promote accessible digital technology that enables people with disabilities and in older age to live an independent life and to improve their quality of life. 150 conference guests from 14 countries took up the invitation to the first M-Enabling Forum in Europe last year and thus proved that REHACARE also provides the ideal backdrop for this top specialist event. The M-Enabling Forum Europe 2019 is organised by E.J.Krause & Associates Inc. and G3ict, one of the projects initiated by the United Nations in 2011, which drives the development of inclusive information and communication technology worldwide.
The central platform for information, meeting and exchanging experience in trade fair hall 6 at REHACARE is being renamed: It used to be called REHACARE Forum, but now it’s being rebranded as the REHACARE meeting point. The range of topics on offer, revolving around living with a disability and in old age, remains as diverse as ever. The 10-year anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities should provide much food for thought. The convention entered into force in Germany on 26 March 2009. What has been done since then to enable people with disabilities to live an independent life and participate in society equally? What needs to be done right now?
At the trade fair’s opening on Wednesday, the REHACARE meeting point has a series of presentations on the subject of eCare on its programme. Which opportunities can digitalisation provide for care and where does it meet its limits? On Thursday, the German Medical Technology Association (BVMed) and the National Association for Personal Autonomous Development (BAG SELBSTHILFE) invite the visitors to gain information on the current proposed policies and rights of patients when seeking medical aids through public health insurance companies.
