When did you last laugh heartily and what about?

Melanie Wimmer: I laugh almost all the time. Usually when I spend time with my friends. Having fun is very important for us.

What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?

Melanie Wimmer: I would like to fly to London. I have been dreaming about this since I was a child. But until now there hasn’t been the right point of time.

Which person has influenced you most?

Melanie Wimmer: I have a penfriend. Although we haven’t met yet, we write each other every day. Our connection is very intense. I never believed in such things – until I got to know him.

You have the chance to become the German Federal Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?

Melanie Wimmer: I want that no person with disability is excluded anymore.

Your life is made into a film: Who would represent you?

Melanie Wimmer: I would wish for Kate Middleton. I am very interested in the British royal family. And a dream would come true to get an invitation for a visit.

Melanie Wimmer: I would like to know why people talk a lot about accessibility and change, but it takes so much time until they finally do something.
