Ms. Xie Lu, Member of the Presidium of Shanghai Jing'an District Disabled Persons' Federation, Consultant at the Association of the Deaf, and Art Designer of Shanghai Animation Film Production Co., Ltd., said: "When it comes to communication, people with hearing impairments still face many challenges. Although there are various brands of hearing aids in the market, each individual has a unique hearing loss condition and requires specific hearing aid devices. Due to the lack of proper training or information from professionals of hearing aid brands, some individuals using hearing aids are not able to make the best use of them, while others might have not found a suitable hearing aid device. I am very glad that Messe Düsseldorf (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. organized this hearing aid adaptation event for hearing impairments. I hope this can be the end of hearing difficulties for everyone with hearing impairments and they can enter a world filled with sounds. ‘Can't hear clearly’ or can't hear vividly’ should now be a thing of the past."
At the event, technicians from the three mainstream hearing aid brands - Unitron, Starkey and Beltone used professional equipment to examine the patients hearing condition, selected the most suitable hearing aid device for them according to their needs, and patiently helped them tryout and adjust their devices till they were comfortable, to ensure the best hearing effect. In addition, the technicians also explained and demonstrated precautions for usage of hearing aids, and shared self-adjustment and daily maintenance tips for the hearing aid devices.
Chen Hao, the Inclusion Ambassador of REHACARE SHANGHAI, is a person with hearing impairment. He purchased a pair of hearing aids with Bluetooth function from Beltone at the event. He said: "I can feel that the organizers have indeed put a lot of thought into this event. The three brands present here today are all great. They didn’t just try to sell their own brands, but instead suggested that people with hearing impairments should choose the most comfortable products which suit them best. It felt like their focus was more on hearing rehabilitation for people with hearing impairments, rather then merely attempting to sell their products. Such a compassionate people-oriented service is truly worthy of praise."
