The winners will be awarded one month’s free access to DSI TV, with the opportunity to access to a comprehensive catalogue of competitions, lectures, congress, and instructional videos from World Para Dance Sport partner DSI.
The online competition is open to athletes in three categories:
- Men’s and women’s singles freestyle classes L-and-F1 and L-and-F2;
- Men’s and women’s singles freestyle for new athletes using power wheelchair (not licensed or registered);
- Men’s and women’s singles freestyle for new athletes (not licensed or registered).
As an unofficial competition, results and rankings will not be recognised for any purposes under the sport’s rules and regulations.
"We want the Freestyle and Showdance Online Competition to be a great celebration of our sport," Camila Rodrigues, World Para Dance Sport Manager, said. "It will provide athletes the opportunity to stay active and motivated during the COVID-19 pandemic, while also offering an unique chance for new dancers who are still not classified or who want to try Para dance sport for the first time," added Rodrigues.
The deadline to submit the videos is the twelfth of March for registered athletes and nineteenth of March for new athletes and power wheelchair athletes.
