Name: Paola Klokler Age: 27 City: São Paulo Occupation:Athlete Impairment: Congenital malformation in lower limb
Paola Klokler: My job (sports), my family and animals
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Paola Klokler: Unfortunately as an athlete the financial situation is a little bit complicated! Everything you win with the sport returns to the sport. I have traveled a lot to play. I went to countless countries to "work" but I never managed to go anywhere for a tour. It's something that I still want to accomplish!
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Paola Klokler: In my life, the people who influenced me the most were my family, conjugal, my technicians. They are great examples for me and they were always someone who pushed me and made me keep going...always directing me positively!!
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled in your country. What would you do first?
Paola Klokler: I think I would give a lot of importance to issues related to para sports which unfortunately in Brazil has a little advertising problem, gets very little attention and has poor structure. In addition I would promote accessibility and inclusion...
Those who visited REHACARE last year may have seen Paola. Brazil had its own stand and the wheelchair basketball team around the number 14 was an eye-catcher for the trade fair visitors because it provided plenty of variety.
What is especially near and dear to you?
Paola Klokler: Family
I would like to be ...
Paola Klokler: exactly the same.
Which question would you like to get answered?
Paola Klokler: Who is Paola outside the wheelchair basketball courts? I love spending leisure time with my family and friends but it is no use...no matter how hard I try, I always end up being an athlete even in the hours I take off!!!
What else I wanted to say...
Paola Klokler: I love what I do!! And if God gave me a second chance I would choose it all exactly the same!!!
