Auxiliary devices: developed for the needs of their users

Dear Sir or Madam,

In developing assistive devices it's all about making life easier for people with disabilities. To do this, it is especially important to know their problems in everyday life and their needs. For example, the fact that wheelchair users have the problem of overheating, especially in summer, was a condition that Corien Staels could not believe. So in our "We asked..." interview the founder and CEO of WheelAir explained how the temperature control system works.

And the ribcaps distributed by Glomarket bvba are also adapted to the needs of their users. How exactly, Nico De Wilde tells in our interview in our section Top Topics from REHACARE 2019.

Have a safe and accessible week,

Anne Hofmann

Overheating is a serious issue for people who use a wheelchair. Ice packs and water sprays used to help many of them in order to keep cool. But Corien Staels, Founder & Managing Director of WheelAir, wanted to find a technological solution for the problem of overheating. Since then the WheelAir concept is about to change lives.
