Fashion, travels, dance - The many colors of REHACARE 2015

Dear Sir or Madam,

Be it the supply with aids, mobility or sports - REHACARE offered something for everyone this year.

We asked the many international exhibitors what they especially liked this year.

We also entered the world of fashion and discovered many elegant and cool looks.

Of course, today was just the fourth and (sadly) last day of REHACARE 2015. But you can still read more about a lot of the exciting events so far here.

We wish you a comfortable last day at REHACARE 2015 and are looking forward to see you again next year!

Music moves people. That's why Udo Dumbeck loves it to treat the visitors to a great dancing show at every REHACARE which always excite enthusiasm. Before the big performance we asked the head of the Department of Dance of the Rehabilitation and Sports Association of People with Handicaps in North-Rhine Westphalia (BRSNW) to share some details.

Without visitors, the fairgrounds would seem deserted. That is why we mingled with them and asked some of them why they visit REHACARE and what they like most.

Traveling is not only about getting to know new places but also about getting in contact with new people and sharing experiences. However, people with disability often have trouble with this. We visited BSK-Reisen GmbH at REHACARE 2015 for an interview about traveling with disabilities.

How does it feel to be fed and dependent on others?

Various nerve damages may lead to eating difficulties. Now, there is an alternative to being fed; the assistive eating device Bestic®. It lifts the food directly to your mouth by the click of a single button. You can use more or less any part of your body to press the button and gain independence!

Strokes in children: Self-help groups support families

The "Marktplatz Gehirn" (The Brain Marketplace) theme park is an inherent part of REHACARE. The subject of stroke is routinely a focal point here. And yet, many people in Germany don't know that children - although rarely - can have strokes, too. Affected families primarily look for an exchange with self-help groups.
