It's not the body that stands in your way, it's your own mind – at least that's what Robin Nixdorf thinks. The Mainzer likes to push his body to its limits in order to overcome them and become stronger. In which mindset he lives his life, how he would replace the word "Commissioner" in Commissioner for the Disabled and how he would supplement school lessons, he reveals at REHACARE.com.
Name: Robin Nixdorf Age: 30 City: Mainz/Germany Occupation: Dividion manager for funeral services (Relation to the topic) Impairment: Wheelchair user
What have you always been wanting to do and why have you never done this so far?
Robin Nixdorf: Take part in a bodybuilding competition. I am currently preparing for a competition in spring 2019.
Which person has influenced you most? And why?
Robin Nixdorf: We are the cut of all people we deal with or interact with. In my case there are several people. If you surround yourself with winners you become a winner, just as vice versa. Eagles fly with eagles and ducks stick with ducks.
You have the chance to become the Commissioner for the Disabled. What would you do first?
Robin Nixdorf: I would convert the designation "Federal Commissioner for the Disabled" into Federal motivator for the Disabled or something similar.
What keeps you from being the best version of yourself? Robin Nixdorf says: just thinking. It's similar with his fitness program: You have to push your body beyond its limits again and again to make it stronger. A strong will and a positive attitude help here.
What is especially near and dear to you?
Robin Nixdorf: I would like to get to the point of financial freedom so I could start projects that would make the world a better place.
I would like to be...
Robin Nixdorf: I will stay and try to be the best version of myself. We should not measure ourselves against others but should work on our own limits to become the person we would look up to.
Which question would you like answered the most?
Robin Nixdorf: Why are there still no school subjects such as personality development, mental training, charity and health? Those would be important.
What I finally want to say...
Robin Nixdorf: Never choose the option to give up. Our head is a strong instrument capable to influence our body positively or negatively. You cannot achieve a positive result with a negative thought. Set small goals and achievements again and again and you will start to grow and become more courageous. If you wish for something, do not wait until the wish comes to you but actively approach it. Turn off the TV and read a book about personality development. Watch motivating videos on YouTube. And always give something back. You do not have to climb a mountain to make a difference. Your single smile can be a gift for the world.
