The Mobility Product Award program was launched in 2019 to honor outstanding product and technology development by Complex Rehab Technology and mobility/accessibility manufacturers.
Sunrise Medical is excited to announce that the QUICKIE ACCESS Tilt-In-Space Wheelchair, QUICKIE Q300 M Mini Power Wheelchair, SWITCH-IT Vigo Head Control, and LECKEY BeMe Seating have won awards. The QUICKIE ACCESS won in the "Manual Wheelchairs, Tilt-in-Space" category and solves multiple seating challenges while allowing clients to propel with either hand or foot.
The QUICKIE Mini with a 17" turning radius, won in the "Power Wheelchairs, Group 3, Multiple Power" category. Launching later this year, the SWITCH-IT Vigo, a wireless, proportional head control that allows drivers to control their power wheelchairs with subtle and intuitive head movements, won in the "Alternative Driving Controls" category. Winning in the "Seating Systems" category, the highly configurable LECKEY BeMe, a modular seating system that provides a superior fit to meet the changing needs of a child, has been launched in several markets outside of North America.
Executive Editor Laurie Watanabe said of the awards program, "This year, the competition was especially fierce. Judges gave impressive scores on so many entries, and in several categories, it took a perfect or near-perfect score to win. Those results demonstrate that innovation and ingenuity are alive and well in the Complex Rehab Technology and mobility/accessibility industries."
