The STARIA is a wheelchair-accessible vehicle for wheelchair users. The rear cut-out with access ramp allows easy access to the vehicle. The non-slip ramp and the lowered floor pan provide plenty of space in the passenger compartment.
The PROTEKTOR 2.0 passenger and wheelchair restraint system secures the wheelchair to the vehicle floor and the person in the wheelchair. A head and backrest with integrated diagonal shoulder belt offers additional protection.
The rear cut-out of the STARIA measures 1,420 mm x 810 mm. The original bench seat in the second row is retained. Various conversion options allow up to eight seats or six seats and one wheelchair space.
The conversion includes the following highlights:
- Rear cut-out with EasyFlex ramp
- Swivel-folding seats
- Innovative FutureSafe 2.0
- Plenty of space and comfort
- DIN-compliant and TÜV-approved
The Hyundai STARIA conversion will be available exclusively for front-wheel drive vehicles from mid-2024.
Just recently, AMF-Bruns also developed the world's first wheelchair-accessible vehicle with a hydrogen drive. Currently, 200 vehicles in France are being equipped with this new type of drive and converted to transport people with reduced mobility. According to the company, this is an important step in the transportation revolution.
