IndeeLift: Human lifting tools for greater independence

IndeeLift offers human lifting tools that provide greater independence and safety for people with mobility impairment and their caregivers. It is a device that helps caregivers lift, transfer and transport patients in acute, post-acute, long-term and home care environments. At the same time, it can support people who live alone.

Ms. Martinez, what distinguishes IndeeLift’s line of human floor lifts from other lifting aids?

Esther Martinez: IndeeLift has a double mission. IndeeLift was founded in 2014 with the goal to provide a quick and safe method to get mobility-impaired people up after a fall and back on their feet, or in some cases, back onto their wheelchair.
Besides fall recovery, and with the new IndeeLift models, we are now able to provide the tool for safe patient handling and maneuvering in the home and care environments that are safe for the patient and caregiver alike. Lifting patients is the most common reason that hundreds of thousands of caregivers are injured each year. Floor-To-Stand (FTS) tools allow patient maneuvering with gravity and machine assistance eliminating the possibility of lift-related injuries to the care provider or the patient.

Those who live with muscular and neurological diseases such as Neuropathy, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscular Dystrophy, etc., along with many other medical conditions struggle to get up from the floor after an otherwise simple fall that does not include injury, and most falls do not result in injury. There is a whole range of human floor lifts by IndeeLift. Could you please introduce the different product types?

Esther Martinez: Sure. The Human Floor Lifts (HFL) are designed to safely pick patients up from the floor. The primary use is fall recovery. IndeeLift HFL products provide immediate recovery from a fall, enhanced safety, peace of mind, painless fall recovery and a safe solution to mobility-impaired individuals living independently with or without the assistance of caregivers.

The Floor-to-Stand (FTS) lifts are designed to safely assist patients to stand from any seated position including the floor. FTS machines also assist caregivers to maneuver patient bodies in day-to-day real-world activities including transferring from bed to chair or commode or couch or transporting within the care environment. FTS primary use is for safe patient handling in day-to-day living scenarios.

IndeeLift FTS products eliminate the need for manual patient lifting and multiple person lift teams in acute, critical care, care centers, rehab and assisted living environments. Eliminating manual lifting eliminates the risks associated with patient maneuvering in all care environments.

Esther Martinez: IndeeLift participated in REHACARE 2022 with aacurat GmbH (IndeeLift Authorized Distributor in Germany) and the feedback was outstanding. IndeeLift was founded in the US a decade ago but in Europe we arrived and started manufacturing in Barcelona right before the pandemic. At REHACARE 2022, IndeeLift was displayed by aacurat, along with other products in their portfolio. People were able to try the IndeeLift and loved our life-changing solution!
