Assistance robotics, gripper arms, and functional aids

Space technology for life – DLR

The German Aerospace Center (DLR) is bringing high-tech from space travel to assistive robotics. In Hall 4 / G07, researchers will demonstrate how their robotic developments can be used in everyday life by people with disabilities – in a practical and application-oriented way.

Versatile support – Kinova Jaco robotic arm

The manufacturer Kinova is known for its assistive robots. The Jaco robotic arm in particular is considered a classic: it supports users in eating, drinking, or grasping objects – activities that would otherwise be difficult to perform independently. You can experience the robot live in Hall 5 / J25.

Eating autonomously – Obi eating aid at Kinova

Visitors can also learn about the Obi eating aid at the Kinova booth in Hall 5 / J25. The small robotic arm guides spoons and forks precisely to the mouth, bringing more autonomy to the table. Thanks to its intuitive controls, OBI can be customized and put to the test.

More strength in your hands – EXXOMOVE Carbonhand & BATEO

The start-up EXXOMOVE is showcasing two innovations in Hall 5 / C03: the Carbonhand, a motorized gripping aid that increases strength and endurance in hand movements. In addition, the BATEO robotic arm opens up new possibilities for people with limited mobility.

Flexible solutions from France – ORTHOPUS

ORTHOPUS is traveling to Düsseldorf with two products in tow. In Hall 5 / G22, the French company will be presenting the ORTHOPUS Supporter, which supports movements on the vertical axis, and the ORTHOPUS Partner, which provides assistance in all directions. ORTHOPUS is thus significantly expanding its range of robotic solutions for everyday use.

Orthoses & Wearables

Regaining mobility – Myomo orthosis

In Hall 4 / E22, Myomo Europe is showcasing its motorized orthosis, which supports people who have suffered a stroke or have neuromuscular disorders. The arm orthosis helps patients relearn and improve their movements. It is an exciting tool for rehabilitation clinics and end users alike.

Discreet & smart – IncontAlert BladderMate

In Hall 6 / E41, incontAlert presents BladderMate, a wearable device that measures the level of urine in the bladder and informs users via an app. The young company offers an inconspicuous yet practical solution for greater self-determination in everyday life.

Seeing with technology – OrCam MyEye

OrCam is presenting its wearable MyEye in Hall 5 / B10: smart glasses that read text aloud in real time, recognize faces, and identify products. A valuable aid for people with visual impairments, which visitors can try out right at the booth.
