Create it REAL and Vitalitecs expand digital orthotics in Mexico

Create it REAL has partnered with Monterrey-based Vitalitecs to expand access to digital orthopedic manufacturing in Mexico. The collaboration offers clinics and workshops two paths: bring production in-house with training, or use a local 3D print service for patient-specific devices on demand. The focus includes orthotics, prosthetics and assistive devices like diabetic insoles, seating aids and braces.

Create it REAL has announced a partnership with Vitalitecs aimed at expanding access to advanced digital orthopedic production for orthotics, prosthetics and patient-specific medical devices across Mexico. Vitalitecs will operate in a dual role: as a reseller of Create it REAL’s Embrace production solutions for multiple device types and as a local 3D print service provider. This setup is intended to support orthopedic professionals who want to adopt digital workflows in clinics and workshops.

Professionals can either introduce production in-house, with training and support, or rely on Vitalitecs to produce devices locally on demand. The goal is to reduce typical barriers to digital manufacturing, such as high upfront investment, limited technical expertise or constrained production capacity.

Applications mentioned include custom seating aids, diabetic insoles and corrective braces, alongside broader use in orthotics and prosthetics.

Technology focus: Programmable Foam®

A key element of the partnership is Programmable Foam®, described as a patented material designed to improve control over foam properties. Unlike conventional foam that can vary between batches and may require manual adjustments, Programmable Foam® enables controlled density, flexibility and performance to support consistent production outcomes across devices. Vitalitecs reports more than a year of integrating Programmable Foam® into its process, using a dedicated 3D printer to produce seating aids and diabetic insoles.
