CUREO®5 expands VR therapy for clinical and therapeutic use

CUREosity introduces CUREO®5 as an expanded Virtual Reality therapy platform designed to support therapists and clinicians in clinics and practices through structured digital workflows. The updated system unifies therapy planning, documentation, data management, and training resources within a single platform, making it easier to coordinate therapeutic processes across different care settings.

CUREosity GmbH has launched CUREO®5, the newest version of its Virtual Reality therapy software. According to the company, the update broadens the scope of digital therapy and strengthens structured clinical workflows.

As Caesar van Heyningen (CEO, CUREosity) states: "We continuously develop CUREO® to provide therapists with the best possible support in their daily work. The new CUREO® HUB forms the central foundation where data, training content, and documentation converge.

VR as an engaging therapeutic tool

CUREO® enables therapy teams to address movement, cognition, and perception using a Virtual Reality environment. With gamified elements and more than 50 VR-based modules, the system supports occupational therapy, physical therapy, and neuropsychology. Therapists and clinicians can use CUREO® flexibly in group, parallel, or individual therapy sessions. The software assists them in tailoring therapy programs to patient needs and supporting measurable progress across different therapy phases.

What’s new in CUREO®5

The update strengthens therapy planning and execution with several new features. The Therapy Navigator suggests appropriate modules and settings after selecting the therapeutic goal, helping therapists and clinicians design patient-specific training sessions.

The CUREO® HUB acts as a secure digital control center where patient, therapy, and device data are organized and automatically backed up. Through the CUREO® CENTER, users can access training materials, expert insights, and program recommendations at any time.

Customer feedback played a major role in expanding therapy methods. The enhanced Hand Module now enables more precise fine-motor and coordination training. Additional updates include CUREO® GROUP+1, which supports individual sessions within the group framework; Passthrough, enabling direct eye contact during VR therapy; and additional options for mirror therapy.

Availability and company background

The software update became available on November 4, 2025. Existing customers have been notified proactively, while new customers receive the most recent version by default.
