Lifeward Ltd. announced that its ReWalk 7 Personal Exoskeleton has received CE mark approval, clearing it for commercial sale across the European Union. The system was unveiled as a trade fair highlight at REHACARE 2025 in Düsseldorf, where visitors were invited to test the device and experience its mobility-enhancing features.

ReWalk 7 builds upon more than a decade of experience in exoskeleton-assisted walking technology. The latest model provides greater control, smoother motion, and improved adaptability for people with spinal cord injuries.

The ReWalk 7 combines a crutch-based control system with customizable walking speeds and enhanced battery performance for extended daily use. Its MyReWalk App enables real-time progress tracking and remote access to user data via cloud connection.

Multiple walking speeds that automatically adapt to the user’s pace and environment
Improved battery performance for longer walking sessions
Seamless stair and curb activation for smooth movement transitions

At REHACARE 2025, medical professionals and rehabilitation specialists tested these features during live demonstrations, emphasizing the system’s practical use in therapy and home environments.

Rehabilitation coverage and clinical adoption

Lifeward has established reimbursement agreements with major German insurers, including BARMER, facilitating coverage for about 45% of people with statutory health insurance in Germany. Earlier generations of the ReWalk Exoskeleton have been CE marked since 2010, with Germany remaining one of the company’s largest markets worldwide.
