Wheelchair Accessible Hiking Tour in the National-Park „Niedere Tauern“ in the Austrian Alps
Overview of the activities
On this day, we are hiking on one of the most beautiful trails within Austria. Our wheelchair accessible hiking tour will bring us to a romantic alpine hut next to a small lake where we will have a break. On the way to the mountain hut we are going to play games to support group dynamics. After we had a small lunch we have the opportunity to get to the top of a mountain or enjoying the afternoon while playing games on the lake. A special experience on this afternoon is our therapy-dog. The dog is trained in playing games with people with and with out handicap. And she loves strokes from everybody. So she is a dog that must be loved by everyone!
Horse riding Our day on the horse ranch will be a big adventure for children and adults. Every body, also with people with disability can learn a lot about the work of a horse rancher. Before riding, we will start cleaning the horse, put the saddle on his back and afterwards we will bring the horses back in the stable. After our riding tour we are going to visit one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Austria. It is 140m high and it’s the biggest one in Styria.
adaptive Swimming and diving for everybody On this day we are going to visit the public indoor swimming pool. Everybody has the chance to try diving with the equipment and the guiding of a professional diving instructor. Furthermore we are going to relax with an aqua-massage. This is day to relax and to get new power for all the adventures that are waiting for us.
High-ropes course For all people with Disability This adventure is a highlight for everybody. Doesn’t matter if with or with out handicap. Different elements like a rope bridge or the flying-fox offers a special for everyone. Try the feeling of flying and rappelling and find your own way to get trough the course.
Rafting … one of the most beautiful sports in the nature. There are not many kinds of sports were you can feel the energy of nature as intensive as during rafting. The tour on the Enns is rather easy with some “wild” passages. The experienced guide will give you special equipment. Afterwards he is going to tell you some safety-guidelines. Then we will start our ride.In the evening we will enjoy our last common hours while having a barbecue.
Rock climbing for disabled Walkers One day we will spend rock climbing close to the fantastic Dachstein. The huge rocks on the Dachstein are great for advanced climbers and for beginners. After doing hard work on the rock we can enjoy the awesome view in one of the mountain huts and we can relax while eating traditional Austrian meals.
